Yesterday at the tire fitters I took a picture of one of my rear suspension bushes. Picture was taken when truck was lifted off the ground.
Is there some play visible, or is that just normal? Truck has done 74k km, zero off-road, so all gentle road driving, 99% none or light loads. Do I need to do something here, or leave it as is? Thanks Munch for that advise. Now that the truck is back on its feet, I have tried to rock the shock in all directions and can only make the protectiv cover which seems around the shock move a bit. Zero movement of the shock itself on the bushes.

Put your hand on it, rock the body and see how it feels. If it feels solid it's fine.
If there is any sort of tap or movement you can feel it's going. I usually find the OS usually gets worse first |

Steve, so I used a voluntary SVX rocker..... Madame herself.

Madame rocked the truck itself while I was feeling the top of the shock to feel possible movement. But I myself tried to rock the top of the shock, and no movement at all there either... As to paint, only the standard paint from Land Rover. What you see is the Dinitrol. After 3 years it still looks about the same as when it was newly sprayed on as per below picture.  for dino juice...........if you look at some of your welds in your picture....mine had rust on there from day one ! I have used bilt ham stuff ..you can still see the rust underneath but has not got any worse!I dread to think what inside the chassis looks like! |

Sorry for the late reply eric............ I had not noticed your comment...Dino is short for dinitrol and I was commenting on the great quality of welds on your chassis attaching ancillary items...........mine were covered in surface rust..........yours look great and i think my chassis must have been outside in the rain before assembly. .............................They also had a nerve to put a checked/pass sticker on it!
