Towbar modification?

Can I remove my tow ball off the steel plate marked X and attach one of these adjustable drawbars where I can re attach the tow ball?




I'm thinking that there shouldn't be any reason why not?

That's what I did with mine, it looks slightly different as mine's a Dixon Bate version. I think that it is actually stronger with the original drop plate behind it giving it extra rigidity to any sideways movement.

Plus you get to not have to find a new position for the 12N socket and keep the loops that the breakaway cable pass through. I allways find it amusing when people drop the breakaway cable over the tow ball as if anything is going to fall off then it is more likely to be that and the cable goes with it Whistle

Makes no sense at all JWL, some people are stupid!!

I was thinking that it shouldnt be a problem all right. Could even stick a weld on it too for overkill Twisted Evil
