WHY did you order a Celebration Edition?
I was lucky enough to have secured a 'Heritage' 90 S/W!

Why?

The last of nearly 70 years of production, iconic status, desirability, uniqueness, looks great (love the colour!) etc etc... Cool

Interested in what others have rationalised to order one of these 3 editions!

Cheers, Pete Smile YOLO... You Only Live Once...

For me because I wanted a Defender for me and my dog.
A simple defender that I can have him in the car and him feeling comfortable
With lots of space. My 110 does not give him the feeling that he's with me because he's in a crate in the back.
It's like my own man cave but in car form.
( I've got a big man cave already lol. )

Plastic grill is a disappointed (but can be addressed), putting this aside I really love the way the Heritage edition looks. I'd been planning to buy a 90 this year anyway, so why not buy this one. Yes, it's a bit more money, but I could see myself keeping it for 20 years. Nick

Well, I wanted (and still do) a series 2 to compliment my 110, however as the 110 is being used and abused every day(and it's my keeper, my mate on wheels) a vehicle was required. As the rest of the houshold drive modern boxes and the remaining Land Rover range of cars not really appealing, I decided on a 90. So the joy when the heritage came along. It's my modern series 2 until such time it can be joined by a real version. Now I only have to work on Mrs N, three landy's may be a push, best buy some flowers Bow down

because I wanted a one of the last ones and my dealer had one allocated which he let me have. Could have sold it 50 times easily he said. Luckily I was the first to talk to him about 1, but it had to be a 90SW

This is interesting!

Given that there are 400 allocated to the UK, I winder how many of those 'new' owners are on here!

So far only 6! Smile

I guess the 90's are more popular than the 110's in the UK? In Oz, it is the other way around! (or upside-down Very Happy ) YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Because it's my last chance. A car like the Defender will never come around again, so I might as well get one of the Heritage ones because it's an excellent last hurrah.

United Kingdom 2003 Defender 110 Td5 XS CSW Tonga Green
I've had a 2003 nine seater xs , and ordered a 110 adventure in January ,I thought I might as well go for phoenix orange as its a unique colour for the defender but I will resever judgement on which one to keep until after I've had both for a couple of weeks(the kids love the 9 seats but I would like one that has a heater that gets warm within 10 mins and does over 70)!
Enjoying all the posts

I have never been very much into or against the defender but really liked when I saw the celebration series at the Geneva Autosalon. As I have been able to secure myself one of the few ABs I had to go for it - and now I am very much looking forward to it and so is the entire family. Not sure when the cars will arrive in Switzerland though.
