... or wait another few months for the next 'last' edition to be offered by JLR YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Always postponed buying a Defender - but obviously now became the time. Grew up with a Morris Minor in the family - with very much the same light green color - which I do like very much. So a Defender in such color (almost) was a no-brainier...

I saw the celebration series featured in land rover one life magazine and I always said if something special came out I would be tempted. I did ponder on the LXV but decided against it as I did here a whisper about later on land rover were planning something with defenders that would be limited editions. I always promised myself a defender towards the end of the line. I know the land mark is being built but theirs something about the heritage which I cannot put my finger on but it has put smile on my face ever since I put my deposit down January 10 and I had a choice 110SW 90HT OR 90SW. so 90sw it was and both me and my wife opened two bottles of champagne to celebrate, its our little boy and on the 12 January I got a registration plate to compliment him and a tax disc from 1948.So when you ask why my reply would be I can I did and I have he will also be used nearly everyday ! you cannot see it but I am smiling from ear to ear and I have always said if it makes you smile do it, LONG TIME DEAD AND ALL THAT JAZZ

Sadly, mine is not due for production until week running up to Christmas, so new year for me I think. Would love it before Christmas if possible. Put my deposit down in January. A year in the making

I always wanted one so when JLR announced that they were going to stop production I talked to the local dealer and put a deposit on a 90 Adventure, I did hesitate if I was doing the right thing but carried on with the order, the boat that the cars on has just gone through the Panama Canal, expected to pick her up 1st or 2nd of December.
Since I placed the order I came to the conclusion that I didn't really want to take the new purchase off road so I bought a Disco 2! Thought I'd like this and would be able to tinker with it at the weekend, the car is now in immaculate all round condition so I can't tinker anymore! So a month ago I bought a series 2a for me and my lad to tinker together, gets him off the computer and we now talk to each other more than we ever have. So Thank you Land Rover |
