Now that spring is here S.H.M.B.O. has decided that it is time that I cleared some of what she calls rubbish out of the garage or as she calls it his workshop. Its that small we have only had a mini in it and that was 30 years ago, With the order to go through a shelf a day.
Today I came across three Aluminium flight cases and an old Plastic tool box, I knew they were up there but couldn't remember what was in them.
Well I opened them all, anyone ever had that "Oh so that's were that went " moment, low and behold 3 C.B. radios, one 240v to 12v transformer, 1, 1 meter C.B./amateur radio antenna, cables plugs and lots of dust.
This stuff hasn't been used in 5 years as I had forgotten all about them when I stopped running/helping at large caravan rallies.
I have a small C.B. in the 110 and a handheld that S.H.M.B.O. keeps with her in the caravan when we go away as there is no phone coverage where we like to go and she knows that when I go out for the paper first thing she can always let me know what else I should buy.
Now the questions, are C.B.'s used these days or has everyone gone to text and mobile phones, Do I just take it all to the local recycle centre, or do I sell it all.
Your advise would be of help as I need some plan before I get the order to throw it out. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to us off.
