Mrs Do$h is getting 30.2mpg out of her 90. She's no slouch, and drives everywhere like it's a special stage on the WRC circuit, yet over the last 3000 miles it has never gone below 27 and seems to be settling at just a touch over 30. Mostly winding country roads, lots of brake, accelerate, hill, brake, accelerate...

I guess the 90 truck cab is the lightest Defender of the current line up? Not had chance to record mine as yet but I am expecting low twenties. Andy

I have a 90 CSW XS and I am lucky to see 23, I think my problem is too many short journeys involving hills! What do you get to a tank of diesel ND? 2019 MY Disco 5 HSE Lux

Typically getting 320 - 340 miles from filling it up to the light coming on and us thinking about finding a petrol station for it.

the low mpgs figures are these from early Pumas?
the reason i ask is that TJs seems particularly bad and its an early one but some of the guys around here with 08 plate ones or 57 seem to get better mpg (27-30) having borrowed TJs i managed 19mpg and that was careful driving so there must be something adrift, drive the one at work in a similar style and it does 25mpg. Yup, mine was an early one - May 07.
Its always done 27 - 30 mpg (not checked it for a while but it doesn't seem to be costing me more). |

10l/100km (28mpg) since new, and the same after 4500km. No accessories, mostly city driving I'm embarrassed to admit. 2007 Defender 110

I get 33-34mpg, this is on A Roads and Motorway covering 400 miles per week. Most of the time anywhere between 50 & 70mph. I am very impressed with the MPG.
to note I change gear around 2000rpm Rich |

Havent worked mine out - i have a feeling its at around 27mpg.
On a note about truck cabs - when i changed my 90 from truck cab to van the weight saving was massive and body strength increased! Mike |

Its was the glass weight i sure, but i also think the cab itself is more substantial - body strength increase was amazing - much more rigid - really noticed it when chucking round the lanes Mike

We try not to discuss chucking it around the lanes in this house at the moment. Not after the little ditch escapade the other week
