At the risk of taking this slightly off topic, will the wings hold the weight of a full grown lard ass standing on them??
Like 17st lard ass?? Embarassed

I wouldn't trust mine in case I broke them off!! Laughing My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years.

15.5 st was never a problem. You should be ok with some nice genuine parts c/p wing tops. Wink

How long ago are you talking?

I've read reports on this forum about the wings being thinner material and the fixings are such that they do bend under weight. Not sure about just how much weight mind.

There was someone - maybe Entreq that made bracing brackets for the wings if you intended to go walking on them regularly.

Found them:

Was pretty sure that type of plate had been seen before - certainly last year - but can't find any photos of it - did remember this different but similar approach:

SC - it was an 05 defender, having just checked the new one the panels do appear to be thinner.
Just because LR sell wing top protectors, it may be wrong to assume that they're suitable to stand on!
If Entreq have made the brackets, there must be a need for them in some cases, if not all.

This forum really is great for getting this type of info and alternative opinions. Bow down
