15.5 st was never a problem. You should be ok with some nice genuine parts c/p wing tops.

How long ago are you talking? I've read reports on this forum about the wings being thinner material and the fixings are such that they do bend under weight. Not sure about just how much weight mind. There was someone - maybe Entreq that made bracing brackets for the wings if you intended to go walking on them regularly. Found them: http://www.entreq.de/top-wing-support-brac...ished.html |

God appalling, makes it look like a giant cheese grater Steve. Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

SC - it was an 05 defender, having just checked the new one the panels do appear to be thinner.
Just because LR sell wing top protectors, it may be wrong to assume that they're suitable to stand on! If Entreq have made the brackets, there must be a need for them in some cases, if not all. This forum really is great for getting this type of info and alternative opinions. |
