Well, a technical explanation why TRANSIT engines are affected whilst DEFENDER engines aren't shall help most of us understand.
An extended warranty for this special issue could help folks feel that they are not left back alone after the warranty period. Why should LAND ROVER offer their help freely after the DEFENDER production is stopped w/o replacement? FORD just provide standard customer care. They want to keep their customers satisfied with their cars. If not the DEFENDER - but a more important model - was affected, LAND ROVER would have shown more interest. Many DEFENDER clients switch to other LAND ROVER models after being 'grown up'. But, in this moment, I feel more like doing it the American way and buy myself a Ford F-150 pickup: http://www.ford.com/trucks/f150/ Last edited by Jukathy on 21st Mar 2015 7:06pm. Question has been asked of LR on the Customer Relations page but answer is disappointing in the context of what Ford are doing currently. Hopefully, LR will catch up to this position in time. |

That's right. From my point of view LAND ROVER seemed to provide the better service. My friends have been content, too. They fixed the turbo hose issue on my Defender, although I did not have a problem. Now, let's hope they make things clear with FORD and everything returns to normal. |

Okay, anybody familiar with English language here, what does 'high' actually mean?
50 000 - is that actually 'high'? Or low? Sounds more like medium to me ... |
