Install TF110 - Terrafirma extra wide wheel arches
Installing TF110 - Terrafirma extra wide wheel arches. Maybe a silly question but how does this work? I mean, I need to remove the old original no? Problem is, if i remove OEM (front) that there is an enormous gap on the inside that will throw in dust, water and such all over the headligt and rear area..
I need to swap the OEM ones because my offset wheels are scraping today.

Whats the point to install the wider ones on top of the old ones?? (manual does not say anytning about this)

TD5 2001 110.

Pix. As you can see the OEM arches have extra plastic to cover the gaps. TF110 arches does not Sad
Sure, i can use a jigsaw and trim the old ones, but really?

You can either trim the original spats so they are flush with the bodywork, or trim them so they fit flush inside the terrafirma spats. To be honest I wouldn't fit them, they are bloody awful things, IMHO.poor quality, poor fitting and you have to drill the body panels. The better option is to fit the rubber strips that fit onto the original spats.

Agree, not the nicest parts out there. Live in Spain and must have them to be able to register it with all non-stock parts for spanish"MOT".
Itīs a nightmare down here with modified vehicles.

Did as you said, trimmed the stock front arches and all mounted.

Unless you're driving on a bottomless bog on a regular basis:
Step one: put extra wide wheel arches in bin.
Step two: put extra wide tyres in bin.
Step three: fit narrower tyres that won't cover everything in mud, will improve your turning circle, will cost less, will get your further and doesn't involve ruining a perfectly lovely Land Rover.

End of mutterings from an opinionated sod that doesn't like wide wheels. Your Land Rover, have fun with it Smile

As long as you are sorted out and happy.

My advice would also be to buy some decent stainless steel fixings and bin the screws supplied, also put a spot of waxoyl or ACF 50 on all the drilled holes to keep any moisture out, then if you go back to standard you can but some colour coded pop rivets in the holes with no blistering paint around them.Thumbs Up

Just want to show you guys how it looked when i picked it up last year, Even inside itīs 10 times better. Was a nightmare. Great price approx 4000Ģ for a 2001 with 150.000km.

I like the wheels i have no complains on them. Guess i will find out when we are going to Marocco later Smile

Do you have info on the mentioned rubber strips? I like that idea.
