Finally fitted my Christmas present
So I finally have found time to fit my new rear bumpers I got for Christmas for 'Peanut'. What do you think?

Now I like the idea of these but what is the point of them running down the rear wing? The slightest knock and it would press against a the panel...

They are solid steel and firmly bolted on so they protect the side panel from a low impact ding rather than make it worse. That's the theory anyway - I hope I don't have to put them to the test. But I'm really pleased with them and think they look great.

A knock and it would press against the rear panel??

If the knock is hard enough to bend 6mm steel into the rear panel then how much damage would have been done to the rear panel without it?

I'm unsure. I like the idea of the rear bumperette part, just not sure on the side panel. Would need to see a pair in the flesh to decide properly.

£120 for the pair from LR Centre LTD. The feel very good quality and the powder coating seems good.

They look great smiles Thumbs Up

I too have been debating a set of these , I have noticed a large amount of flex in my rear quarters lower section, right in the corner where these fit.
It's almost as if there should be a reinforcing stay or similar to the chassis but there isn't.
Maybe it's because it's s hardtop possibly ??
Anyway , I thought these could save a huge amount of pain cost and damage whether it be a light knock or bigger impact.

If you can be bothered , can I ask if you could take a pic of them side on, at the level they are fitted , as I have the Dirt defender arch extensions fitted and need to see if they would foul the protectors when fitted.

Many thanks. M

Please ignore the below link, really weird , but I found the items, copy pasted the link on here, now the link says listing removed.
They were visually the same items but only £88.00.
Most bizarre Shocked ,

Just found these, are they the same units , or just similar ??

Good price if indeed the same... "Procrastination is the thief of time"

How totally random , I have swiped back through I don't know how many pages of e bay, and found the listing again, so here goes attempt number 2....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Defen...20f50f9152

Hopefully that is a good one....

Edited to say, Duuuuh Embarassed , these ones have slots rather than holes in the plate section, not that it matters I guess.... "Procrastination is the thief of time"

That side plate, facing forward reminds me of a machete blade - the leading edge looks like it could do some damage - not very rounded off? Not looking very pedestrian friendly and I wonder what vegetation it might gather when off-road?
