BigMike,
Out of interest and for other potential customers what did they charge you? How was the process carried out? Are you pleased with the result? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

K9 - yes i m delighted with it. they didnt have to pressure wash the underbody as i havent been offroad in it yet (only had it 2 weeks) so they just air blasted it, then sprayed it and injected the chassis. i ll go down and pay the bill tomorrow, but graham quoted me about £120 from memory - includes the product and labour. great value in my view. Nice guys too, they maintained my older 90 for me as well.

Billy bargain in my view! Fraction of the cost in comparison to many other same service providers! You could have it done by them three or four times for the cost of a single application. Be interesting to know what products did they use? How long did they take? Did they back it up with any guarantees? As long as you're happy with the end result at that price 'Jobs a goodun!' tbh K9 i didnt ask exactly what the specific product is. the firm has been there for many years, graham took it over when his father died. all my family have landrovers and they all have them maintained there - never had a problem, fast service, good value, nice people. I ve no connection to them apart from being a happy customer.
I'll find out about guarantees etc tomorrow- i checked underneath and it looks pretty neat and tidy I must say. |

Do you know guys if the blanked wiper spindles are the ways to access the bulkhead for waxoyling, or are there other holes?

I had our 110 done last week by Michael as well. It was very precise, very little overspray. I had none of the cavity wax oozing out the doors when I got home, and there was just a tiny bit of misting on the windscreen. He told me that he only needed to use a little bit on the cavities, no need to go overboard. We had our E200K done last year, and the smell remained for ages, due in part not only to the larger quantity of cavity wax used, but also because the Mercedes isn't as drafty as the 100. I only had a little bit of overspray to clear off, it was on the tree sliders and a tiny bit on the wheels. Michael is certainly an expert with the spray gun! If there is one thing that I regret it is that I didn't buy the waxes in the aerosol cans, for touching up. Perhaps next time I'm in the neighbourhood I'll give him a bell and see if I can buy some from him. |

I would like to do the work by myself, buying on the Bay Waxoyl and spried it with an air gun.
Do you have any sugestion for the work? How many liters I need for my 110? 10 are enough? There are in black and clear colour, I would like to take the clear one in order to not make a mess in the the underneath parts that are not black, but I'm thinking that once dryed it wiil become white...any idea??
