Pickles, my dealer still doesn't know anything definitive. I suspect Land Rover Aus is haggling with head office over their allocation. They probably won't set pricing until allocation is finalised. Nick

Those are high allocation numbers for a country with a population of 8m . . . when you consider the UK allocation with 64m people and highest Land Rover volumes in the world.

Still, hope your dealer is right because it bodes well for Australia. The car mfrs do odd things some times. For example when BMW brought out the limited edition 1M they only allocated 450 to the UK and they were (and still are) rare as wasp's nuts. In little Australia they allocated 300 and here the 1M is easy to buy and has depreciated 25%.

Bet Land Rover is regretting announcing such low UK allocations now that they have seen the demand! And it seems odd that they would put a firm cap world Celebration numbers . . . why not sell as many as they can? Defender hasn't exactly been a big seller for the past few years so why not take advantage of the "final year nostalgia" and get the line cranking?!

NPV, what have you heard for Aus, and Eric, a copy of that document would be good because obviously the World figures would be relative to Aus as well.
Pickles.

Pickles, tried to upload the PDF file which I received by e-mail from my dealer onto my photo gallery here, but it is almost 9.000Kb, so too heavy.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Dam - can't make that will be deep into B787.

Decided no Heritage, our XS will have to make way for a Toureg 3.0D.

The specification for the heritage seems to be a little vague in areas.

Eg. projecting grill but no air con (yet no inverted "V" support behind) , base model hard top with rear quarter and alpine windows? No mention of a radio!

Others have said "what you see is what you get" but this can't be absolute either, otherwise they will all be left hand drive!

Has anyone seen any further confirmation of the spec?

Angus

spotted last night close to Solihull Factory a very clean (new) bronze/gold coloured 90 with black bonnet and detailing running on trade plates, it was dusk and I was going in the opposite direction so couldn't get more details. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

When I was given first refusal of the Heritage LE, I was verbally given the full spec list; dealers got them from the Wed. It does not feature air-con. For that reason, I went for an XS instead.
