Heat gauge reacting to throttle response.
Hello all, this morning on my way to work I noticed my temp gauge was moving to the input of the accelerator, if i revved her the needle moves instantly down to the cold end and as the Rev stabilises ( to idle ) the needle returns to proper operation position. I will be posting a video, can anyone shed some light please.

I would go with bad earth , or there used to be voltage stabiliser on the back of the gauge cluster that could effect the needles but normally would effect fuel gauge as well but also now days alternators are a bit smoother output then years ago , so I would start with earths checking

also might be worth checking alternator voltage, just in case

Well I got to the bottom of my fault that was causing my temp gauge to fluctuate with input from the accelerator, it only took a month and a half.

Haha, so I was installing a new LED light bar and red bison boomslang headlight loom, when running wiring through the bulkhead just behind the dash through an existing grommet and that's when I noticed two wires just behind the brake booster on spade connectors were apart which I connected up and forgot about it, I didn't think anything of it but when I went to test the light on a wee drive, low and behold no more fuel gauge rev counter 👍

So the earth terminal on the bulkhead was off?

well according to the workshop manual this isn't a recorded earthing point, the earthing point is on a ring crimp bolted to the firewall, so I have no idea what this is for!
