I had terrible am reception when the headlights were on. Previous owner had installed HID's. The ballasts were bolted to the inside of the engine compartment - metal cased ballasts onto a metal bracket. I didn't move them, just insulated the ballasts from their bracket.
All reception issues instantly disappeared. |

Unfortunately I've got nothing to insulate here. Just 2 plastic DRL modules with a positive and negative. 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X

You can make an inline supressor

I fitted an inline suppressor on the ignition feed to the head unit. This has had no effect. Should it have been to the constant positive to the head unit instead or as well ? 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X

You have to fit the suppressor to the item causing the "noise" not to the stereo
In this case fit to the DRLs |
