2000 Td5 wiper relay location
Did a search. The result of which is says that the relay is behind the instrument cluster.

Not on mine. (not sure if it has to do with being a LHD) Behind the cluster is the immobilizer control.

The centre fuse block had about 20 fuses, 4 relays below, and 2 above. I'm guessing it's the red one above?

Any body have any input?

On my 2000 Td5 it was in the bulkhead fuse panel.

I found it by removing the cover and turning the wipers on - I could hear and feel the relay click then.

You could also turn the wipers on and pull the relay to confirm it stops.

Yes, it's on the fuse box panel, red in colour if it's the original one.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

While on the topic - does anyone know if its possible to replace the relay with an intermittent wipe one? I don't need it running permanently, but a wipe ever few seconds would be beneficial.

I did this mod a couple of months ago. I found it from this thread;

http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic4625.h...rear+wiper

It's been great. It was simple and easy to do.

Thumbs Up
