It is normal and correct that the trailer repeater flashes once (with the first flash of the indicators) if there is no trailer connected. If there is a trailer, it will continue to flash with the indicators.

If it just flashes once when you indicate then that's normal, it is doing a check to see if there's a trailer fitted or not. Just hope that it will keep flashing when there's a trailer attached

its a throw back from the times when dash warning lights were filament bulbs instead of led, its a bulb check 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

my dads tdi 110 does it with factory kit, as did my td5 before I changed to leds and wipac trailer relay 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Thanks all! Have to admit I didn't notice it doing it without the electrics connected, but I've not driven a couple of hundred miles yet!

It won't do it if you have an RDX relay, only if a trailer is connected.

My 90 does it with factory towbar,didn't realise why until now.
