150HP "Tune"?
Does anyone have any details yet on what L.R. have done with respect of their 150HP in Adventure & Autobiography?
Have they fitted a larger intercooler, different turbo etc, or is it simply an ECU calibration?
Pickles.

There would certainly be no need for a bigger turbo as we all know a 2.2 is capable of 170hp with the standard unit and i very much doubt they would fit a bigger intercooler to maybe a total of 2000 cars ?

Steve 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs
3.2 conversion DONE 238bhp and 707nm torque and thats just the start ;-P
hybrid turbo in build -done ready to fit

Of course, you are right, & probably it is just the ECU.
But, L.R. & most manufacturers are different, they like to build in "safety" measures etc, and that is why I was wondering if they've done anything else to gain the increase.
Ambient heat would be a big issue in Australia for example.

the 1080 or so that they are building are all uk i believe.
it will only be an ECU map and i find it funny that BAS has released a 150bhp city tune at the same time Whistle
i know i will be getting my map from him.

I was looking at the special editions and noticed that the power upgrade is only on 90's. Anyone know why the 110 is left out Confused

Or am I reading it all wrong?

Maybe it's something to do with being 'responsible' as a manufacturer.

i doubt there would be much difference other than an ECU tune. That power output would bring it back to what was a standard Freelander2 output a few years ago, as well as the Mondeo ST TDCI.

It's a Tried and tested tune!

I thought they were all the same engine?
Wikipedia lists the Mondeo as having the Puma, but then it also lists the LDV Convoy as having it and I'm sure my 2004 Convoy didn't.

All standard components, just like my Ford Ranger, the turbo internals are the same on the 125 and 150bhp models as they are on the 122bhp, 150bhp Defender its just that they are in a different casting from Ford to Landrover due to orientation and fitment in the different models.
