For the benefit of the holders of Def> 2007 Ford engine, add the impressions gained from the removal of central muffler:
- A slight increase in torque at low revs, though noticeable, such as exit from the roundabout at third you feel a little less than that effect of vibration due to a poor copy. - A slight increase in diamond output from the tube end, especially at the very least, personally I do not mind, we say that makes a noise more "masculine", and a slight whistle of the turbo, before the change in dry marcia.Niente issue of striking, and nothing in comparison to a Td5 adopting the same treatment (unfortunately .. ) I note that my 110 has already undergone the change of the sensor clutch. To get a more favorable angle postriore I also eliminated the barrel end of the muffler, so being able to bend the curve and to shorten the tube, resolder the "lips" final. MOT is only a noise requirement, something like it doesnt make excessive noise or similar. my 90 tgv has no silencers and passes no problems. Cheers

Hi,
I have a 110 puma too and am tempted to change the exhaust too. I think I have to keep the catalyser system as I may not pass our "contrôle technique" here in France! I have seen that many company in the UK propose "performance exhaust" for the TD4 : TD5 alive, JE, twisted, etc all have their "system". What is not clear to me is the difference between them. To be direct : it is just a tube, isn't it? Or is there secret science here? |

Yes this would fail the MOT, not on the noise but because the exhaust must extend clear of the bodywork/chassis. The back box on my V8 Disco was missing when I bought it.... made a luvvverly noise but not paticularly loud. However i had to add an extension to make it stick out the back to pass the MOT MAD COW 2007 90 Hard Top - 2009 BMW F800GS - 2002 CCM 604E Dual Sport Project90 |
