United Kingdom 2011 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey
Q8 excel 0w-30 oil
Hi,
I have just been given 8l of this and wondered if it's ok for use in the defender. Spec says ACEA A5/B5 for extended drain cycles and fuel economy on VW engines.
I cannot find any more detail, anyone in the know if it can be used in the defender? Seems a waste if not. The defender is used for commuting only at the moment and does about 8k a year.

Cheers

Diesels with a Cat should ideally run a 'C' Rated ACEA listing oil.

B rating will do the job, but It's not top spec
HTH Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.
