So as some of the more observant may have noticed I come up with loads of great ideas but rarely do anything about them. Well it's time for a change. It's true this is not the greatest project in defender history indeed the base is actually a 109 but it is a start.
This tub is going to be a bed for my wife's brother's adopted daughter's youngest daughter. They're from Bradford, it's expected that family is complicated. She is ten and thinks it's an awesome idea. I think her mother wanted to kill me for even thinking of it so everyone is a winner! More pictures between now and Christmas when delivery is scheduled. Cheers for the encouragement. Yeah I was completely bamboozled when I was introduced to them all especially as I'm an only child of two only children. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Awesome. I want one and im 46! Top tip tho....before investing months of graft....pop around and do a dry run to see if you can get it up the stairs now. I had someone hand build me a wardrobe and he insisted that getting it up the stairs wouldnt be an issue....it did t go up the stairs as i expected so didnt pay him and left him with a very odd sized piece of furniture that he probably broke up for firewood! Unless your niece is intending sleeping in the garage of course!?!

One step beyond. There's no way it would fit in one piece so it's getting dismantled and bolted back together so I can move it easily. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon. |

Phase 2 complete. It's now in 3 big bits all jet washed and waiting for sanding. I have a pic but it is uploading then doing nothing or crashing in the gallery server I don't know? Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.
