That's given me my laugh for the day... Great idea Lambert... have a solution for all the sharp bits / corners, maybe consider a canvas top too... for a real den / bed Pictures are now obligatory on this thread. Click image to enlarge good luck SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |

I had thought about this but I felt that the utility was a better idea as it is easier to dismantle and the wheel boxes allow a simpler structure for the mattress and a usable void to fill for storage like a divan. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon. |

Ok I may have been quiet about this but we have been busy. All sanded, inspected and primed ready for under coating and then the wood butchery can begin. P's both me and Mrs the farmer have seen enough sand paper to last a lifetime. Pita.

Ok so finally got some time to get more done to the bed. Now in under coat in preparation for an almost Rutland red top coat with the wood primed ready for a mid gray. Not the best photo in the world but I'm a farmer not a photographer.

99% done and test assembled all it needs is the dashboard clocks from a freelander cleaning and refitting some badges and the number plate fixing. So next time will be final assembly in situ and touching in the paint. Yay light at the end of the tunnel.

There's nothing quite like a present that someone has thought about and put time in to, rather than just having money thrown at it.
