All very interesting reading. I use Asda Morrisons or Tesco. Tesco with up to about 18p a litre off with their fuel save offer.
I used to use the local Shell and Esso garages and always had plenty of water drain out of the filter water trap. On supermarket stuff nothing comes out. I'm putting this down to the proper petrol stations possibly having old tanks and shifting less product and the supermarkets all having new tanks and equipment and selling a lot more fuel. I believe it is all the same stuff. Who realistically believes oil companies drive their product all over the country. It comes from the nearest refinery in most cases, with a specific additive package dropped in. So for me supermarket and usually a dose of Millers Eclipse is fine. Jonno |

This would seem to indicate that over the past ~27,000 miles my car has 'preferred' Tesco fuel.
Click image to enlarge In reality I fill up at wherever is nearest/cheapest when it needs diesel! The Tesco fuel save thing is mighty handy though ^_^ |
