Looking at putting the tinted side windows in my hardtop 90
Have seen that masai do a kit with the rear door and quarters. 450 squid though Are they quality for the price or are there any alternatives? Not intersted in the panoramic! I tow alot so having some extra vision for reversing will be a godsend. TIA |

The rest is another option to consider. |

Thanks lorryman
Were they 110 utilitys by anychance? Im sure my old 110 csw had the alpine windows further back? I had experianced the window rattle in my old csw. For my 90 i think id prefer the original type. |

I have also been looking at getting pan windows for my 90 hard top
I wonder if there would be enough interest drummed up to approach one of the makers for a bit of a group buy discount? G |

The VAT regulations can be complicated to put it mildly! It is not permissible to claim back the VAT on a 90 SW but it is permissible to reclaim the VAT on a 90 HT. Now if I remember correctly the VAT on a 90 SW is not reclaimable as despite it being considered a commercial it's official payload is below 1 tonne. The big point is if you put windows in the back of a 90 HT are you officially converting it towards being a station wagon? By fitting windows in the rear could it be taken that you are using the vehicle for private use? There are also rules about seats which can be fitted and removed from the vehicle. Before spending money check carefully with your accountant or VAT expert about any VAT implications. The alternative is to go ahead and hope you do not get an indepth VAT investigation. Brendan |

I have had 2 sets of glass fitted by Dave - very impressed and happy customer.
I looked at Masai, thought was a cheaper looking alternative copy so went for the original which looks premium, feels premium and is fitted by Dave who knows more about glazing than anyone I haveever come across. Masai is ok but you'll always be wondering ehy you didn't go for the real thing. James |

I too have 'Landyglass' 'VSG Glass' or whatever they have been coerced/forced to call themselves this week......You do not have to travel to them as they have 'authorised fitters' dotted about and my local fitter also did an excellent job and the glass was delivered there the very next day from speaking with Dave. There WAS also an issue with availability with Masai. This may not be the case now but check with the provider first, personally in the event of any mishap I feel better knowing that any replacement can be got the following day rather than having to possibly wait weeks on end.
