Apart from Defenders I have this other interest: aviation, and in particular old aircraft, and to be more precise: I'm a fan of the big propliners of the 30's, 40's, and 50's. I was lucky enough to work at an airport (Rotterdam Zestienhoven) for 24 years. I started as a ramprat, became a ramp supervisor later, and I ended as a dispatcher when in 2003 the company I worked for went belly up.

So, browsing the well known aviation website Airliners.net is another favorite pastime, and there I have compiled an album in which Land Rovers and all kinds of aircraft are connected in images. It is here:

http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.sear...e_limit=15

In some images you have to look really hard to spot the Land Rover, but I swear it s there!

Tillerman.

Dan air, I remeber flying with them in the early 90's to Greece.

I think my parents still have a pack of Dan air playing cards somewhere Russell

This is not my photo - it was taken by an official photographer when I was serving in Germany, so may even still be 'Crown Copyright' (it was taken circa 1986/7). It is an RAF PUMA chopper which has just dropped off the SIII in the background.

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green  Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

It never looks right to me though - always expect it to end in tears...
