Might also be worth checking the plastic bush that the adjuster screw screws into on the wing panel.
I found mine was "rattle" loose but it didn't effect it in anyway. |

Thanks for the confirmation - I'll get some new surrounds ordered and will check the plastic bush.

Okay, new stainless steel headlight rings and mounting kit bought from Brendan at 4x4 Overlander (thanks for sending them before I'd paid for them!) and so now I just need to fit them...
Once I've got the surround removed, can anyone confirm whether I need to only remove one screw to release the headlight for a MY09, or do I need to remove three (avoiding the adjuster screws)? Cheers Mike |

one of the adjuster screws should be solid as in screwed right in , that's the one to undo then give headlight slight twist round and should come out as the other screw heads (adjusters) are slotted , if you then replace the headlight and screw the one you removed right in back as it was you should have not moved the headlight aim
you can remove the 3 little screws that just hold the ring on BUT can be a pig to get the little metal bits back on behind there are 2 adjusting screws and one solid mount screw , don't touch the adjusters just the solid mount one |

Just wondering if anyone has got parts under warranty but refused to let the dealer fit them? |

Thanks Munch90 and Shaggydog - just the confirmation I needed.
FYI I did ask the dealer to replace them under warranty last year, but they refused. Not sure I'd trust them to do it now though. Cheers Mike |

Two steps forward and two back... Well I swapped the worst headlight ring over (the old one was in pieces) with no trouble but now the sidelight keeps blowing the fuse...
Presumably I must have caused a short somewhere when I disconnected the sidelight to take out the headlight. Why are things never simple?! |

My near side headlight is loose, on investigation it's the adjusting motor that has a lot of slack in the shaft of it.
Has anyone else had this problem. The only fix would appear to be replacement of the motor assembly. I have had it out and examined it, but it's a sealed unit. |

Sure the motor has not come unclipped from the back of the bowl , think they twist in about 45 degree turn , might be worth checking before you buy a new one

Not undone, I have had it out to investigate, built it up again and still the same.
When you press down on the bottom of the headlight the motor runs. |
