Bought a 'one man' basic bleed kit from Halfords, doddle to do but the pedal now feels softer than it did before Evil or Very Mad I didn't keep going for long with the pedal as after the first 2 or 3 pumps the fluid expelled via the clear tube had no obvious air bubbles. Should I have kept going longer? Andy

the two man way is normally best , if you got a RUBBER that's RUBBER mallet it sometimes helps to give the caliper a gentle tap with it , helps to shake any air trapped up to the nipple

Which "one man bleed kit"? If it wasn't the one that uses air pressure from a tyre your probably pi55in in the wind,Gunson Eezy Bleed is the one you want,a bit of ptfe tape around the brake reservoir in case of leaks, even then they can be awkward sometimes, the other type tend to suck more air back in thru the bleed nipple when you release the pedal. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

No not the pressurised one, this one just has a tube and bottle with a one way non return valve that is supposed to not let any air back in when you lift off the pedal. I'm sure it is now worse than before I tried to bleed it!! Andy
