There are two types of back door glass one that has the tags fitted for the high level brake light and one that does not. It appears that the glass you have is the type that does not accommodate a high level brake light. You cannot stick on the tags I am afraid. The part number for a back door glass with high level brake light is CBQ 101560

Oh dam it!!
I got it from Masai, it has a marked area for the tabs and the black but for the brake light surround but there are no tabs!! I will give them a call and see why and what Edit: for my awful spelling!! |

Remove the ones from your old window and take them to a window fitter (auto glass etc) slip a fitter a fiver to prime and stick the tabs on. Make sure you take your brake light though as they will need this to get them in the right place.

Will that work as the live and earth for the brake light are taken direct from the heated rear window filament if there is no filament on the glass that Ladyawd has bought how will it work?

The rear brake light kit that massai sell just comes with glue to stick the studs on so I presumed they just touch the contacts when stuck on.

I have confirmed I have the correct window, in other words the circuitry for be brake light is on the window along with the outline of the brake light.
However no posts to mount it too. I have now been told this is a separate part (part number: AWR4647) I have tried getting the originals off the old window but they will not shift without bending them and possibly busting the old glass. Looks like I best get ordering!! Thanks for the advice peoples |

This is the part and a Microcat image.
Might be being thick but I cannot see how this stud conects power to the brake light though.... Item 6 is the stud on the Microcat image. Click image to enlarge |

Sorry I think I have the wrong end of the stick are you saying that you have the two tags that the lucar connectors fit onto to provide power and earth and that what is missing are the two threaded lugs to facilitate the fixing of the Brake light unit to the window if that is the case then those tags are what you need.

That's it, there are two studs that should be on the window. As your picture shows. They are only for mounting not the circuitry
The connectors for the circuit are printed on the window so no issues there They are part number AWR4647 Perfect thanks gilarion !! |

Thanks epictrail, I will see if I can get some. I was wondering what sticky stuff would be best, I was going to go the contact adhesive route like Evo stick but is guess it's not really under a lot of pressure the unit is quite light (in weight!) |
