I have come to the conclusion that a Land rover Dealer is the worst place to take your Land Rover to for services and maintenance. Find a good independent, mine went back to the dealer for a sloppy transmission and backlash. They told me they had it up on the ramps and checked everthing and everything was fine. Drove home it still had the same backlash. Put my overalls on and looked underneath, the rear propshaft univeral joint had two nuts very loose, the other two needed tightening slightly, solved the problem.

Also what do they wash your car with? sand paper with added jiff, the paint work has never been the same since.

I had an engine change out of warranty for the PCJ problem. My symptoms were, increased oil consumption, knocking from the engine on start up and driving and increased smoke reading from the exhaust pipe. My vehicle was six years old at the time.
