If you have £26,000 to spend, I highly recommend a posch 360.. I used one the other day, great piece of kit &hd=1
Can cut and split about 40 cubic metres worth of logs in a normal 9-5 working day, slightly overkill for domestic use though Click image to enlarge |

As good as the Posch kit is I prefer this.
One for each wheel and you'll be done in no time. |

Collected wood from a very good local supplier. Fitted nicely into my SW;
Cargo barrier was a very good investment When I do split wood I have a metal wedges and a sledgehammer. They work really well and a good way of relieving stress. |

Personally I prefer my felling axe, just a quick when factor in setup time and it keeps me fit and warm. Needs to be sharp though as I can't get on with these splitting maul things might as well use a brick. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

No way is an axe as fast as a logsplitter. If you are doing a decent amount of wood, I tend to split it by the trailer load. 10' X 5' loaded to the gunnels and then some. No way an axe can split that as fast as me.
Unless you are prepared to come down and prove me wrong with my next load 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |
