Can anyone recommend a good diesel generator | |
OK we have had a good summer and September was great weather wise but we all know that in the coming months it’s going to get cold with possible snow especially for us that live in rural settings.
The trouble for me is that when it snows hard I usually get a power blackout due to the snow bringing down power lines , last winter it happened twice on one occasion for two days. So I have a couple of generators to keep the freezers running and so the wife does not miss Coronation Street.
Both generators are petrol one uses unleaded the other is two stroke. That means keeping a fair amount of petrol in the outbuildings which I do not like doing. So I thought I might invest in a diesel generator for this winter as I can buy Red Diesel to use in it it will work out cheaper to run
So the question is can anyone recommend a good diesel generator that will power two chest freezers a TV and a few house lights. The web search just seems to show industrial ones that are huge I just require a small unit
