I've a few things to finish off, like the relocation of the buttons. Once I've done that I will do a write up on my blog.
I was really surprised the gauge screen fitted so perfectly. http://defender90xs.blogspot.co.uk/ |

I read your temp guage install the other day and wondered if this was possible, you've proved me right!

Looks great.
What a shame Td5's aren't OBDII compliant. |

I asked on here recently if anyone had managed to do this, I have the ultragauge and I am still having difficulty getting it to show the info that I want, egt, turbo boost, oil temp, fuel consumption ect not the factory settings If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

This is a bit more straight forward than the Check Temp install. It does require a bit of soldering, but nothing too difficult and no special parts like the Check Temp. http://defender90xs.blogspot.co.uk/

You could very easily go into business with this mod - installing a temp guage and ultra guage using a postal service - I for one would bite your hand off.... My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk
110 TD5 BuildHERE - sold! 110 Tdci Build HERE - sold! Passat Alltrack - 4x4, auto, 45mpg, gloriously comfortable - but not a Defender! |

In terms of the Ultra Gauge - I'd be happy to do this modification for others.
Having a scrap instrument cluster to have ready modified so it can be turned around in a day would be good. I wonder if any of the Forum sponsors have a broken cluster gathering dust. The Check Temp isn't as tidy to install, but if I get a spare cluster I could look at the possibility of doing it differently. http://defender90xs.blogspot.co.uk/ |
