Wolf wheels (genuine ones, at any rate) are 6.5 J 16 with an offset of 20.6 mm.
Standard Defender steel wheels are 5.5 F 16 with an offset of 33 mm Boost alloys are 7 x 16 (not sure of the rim form) with an offset of 33 mm. Last edited by blackwolf on 27th Oct 2017 7:27am. Edited 1 time in total |

Dan @ Duckworths confirms that the heavy duty steel wheels are 6.5 and will carry the 255/85/16 tyres as landrover still offer this as standard ,so great news there and that's a set of 5 ordered as soon as he replies to another queston.
expensive but I guess you get what you pay for!! |

Do you know what the 255 tyres LR offer as standard are? I thought the 235 from Continental or Wrangler were the options.
Interesting to see Dan has stated the rating of the HD wheels is 3,500kg - not seen that figure quoted before. |

If those that are asleep at the back of the class would wake up and concentrate - you may find that the 3,500 kg rating for the HD wheels - is actually for the related axle loading not the individual wheel rim! An individual steel wheel with a load rating of 3500 kg is more likely to be found on a steam road roller! |

Land Rover buy these wheel rims in from a manufacturer - like most components. Duckworth's price for the genuine tubeless version in primer is approx. £3.00 more expensive than my local Land Rover dealer (and that's before I request a discount). My local dealer is also advising that they have a gloss black version at just over £100 incl VAT or they will paint the primer version (£71) any Land Rover colour for about another £30 each. I'm also advised that maybe I shouldn't buy now as they are thinking about offering a 'Winter Special Offer' with a set of tyres included at a competitive price. |

i used to run BFG MTs 255.85R16 on wolf tubless rims. worked really well for my usage. rims are strong and design means loads of caliper protection too.
i have a set for sale on behalf of a customer that were new takes offs from a vehicle he had converted by Bowler 5 of new wolf rims with new del mileage MTRs - £600 located near bristol Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

Cuthbert, I think you will find that the full dealer price of £71.67 is plus VAT.
Dan's price is including VAT so the discount is roughly 20%. Not the first time you've been scathing on here - not necessary. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Martin,
I stand corrected - it should have read £71.67 plus the VAT. Perhaps a sign of frustration at trying to find the right product at the right price? |

Not sure who you are having a pop at there or why?
What LR model has an axle loading of 3,500kg? My handbook quotes the maximum axle weight of 2,200kg for the rear axle on a 130 double cab or 110 heavy duty. |

to clear things up error my mistake, didn't mean load rating.
As Cuthbert has said this relates to the axles on the heavy duty axles 3500kg https://www.facebook.com/duckworthparts Send a paypal payment direct using this link www.paypal.me/duckworthparts www.duckworthparts.co.uk My Direct Line: 01673 849873 Email: danroberts@duckworthlandrover.co.uk Supplier of Genuine Land Rover & Jaguar Parts For All Models Can also supply OEM & Aftermarket parts |

Now, this brings us to the in the meantime 1 million dollar question. What is the real load rating of this original equipment ANR4583PM Tubeless HD wolf steel wheel as sold and installed by Land Rover? Nobody seems to be able to give a definite answer.... You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
