Common items, I always keep a few in my personal stock. Try Vehicle Wiring Products or if you are desperate Halfords. Steve.

Couple of pointers below but Halfords is also ok. Don't really know what you're after as post is a bit scant on detail.

Assuming it's a standard 30A or 40A relay then any motor factors will do them, as will Halfords, Maplin, etc. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Thanks very much for your replies.
I did try upload some pics although i was not successfull. For those of you who have spots have yous wired all four through the one relay or used two seperate relays. Its just a new to me 08 twisted 90 and im not a fan of the way the spots have been done. Also what bulbs are best in the wipac spots..... Came from a m3 to a twisted 90 so big change and lots of questions, Sorry. Davie |

Sorry you statement begs a question
Your not a fan on how its done yet you dont know where to source a relay ? Have you checked what wattage the bulbs are are they isolated? triggered by HI beam or indi circuit switch ? |

Hi Ken...
Yes they are 55 w bulbs although I'm not satisfied with the light output. (I tested these with a direct loom) As for your comment, They are independently switched by a toggle located on the dash to enable them to be inline with the full beam/flash. I also feel running 4 spots through the one relay rather than 2 separate relays would pull them a little and have the relay working to maximum most of the time. David |

Single 40A is adequate however I agree a twin is better especially as I bet you are going to upgrade the output I'd rip it out an start again but thats me |

A lot depends on the rating of the relay so note the numbers and specs on the side of it and post them here.
Next question is it faulty? Next question what size is the existing wiring? Next question is where is the relay being fed from? You need to know these things before you start whacking higher wattage bulbs in ....if that is what you are thinking of doing. Steve. Yes id like to upgrade the bulbs, which ones? Im probably going to change it to two seperate relays, for thise of you who have already done it.....how did you wire them? I have a 30amp fused supply coming straight to supply the relay currentky and also a spur coming from the back on the headlight for the full beam supply. Davie |

Do a search or two on here. All your answers already lay within the threads. Try 'wiring spots' that throws up 71 threads, many with pictures and diagrams for ease. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
