What's it up for sale at? I would estimate as a base spec one £18-£20K max perhaps inc VAT but I am no car salesman? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

The problem you have is that the seller will be using the End of production card to inflate the price 19500 is a fair price in my book.......never buy anything if you believe it to be overpriced as it lingers with you .......it doesnt matter if the seller makes a killing it only matters if you think it was a fair price............ When i bought my defender i did my research looked at the broker sites and the list price and aimed for a 10 % discout and i had af figure in mind ...The dealer knew before he totled up his price that the price was the deciding factor .......to be honest i was a bit flummixed whe his offer was 500 lower than my price that i had in my mind so that i forgot to haggle it down further but in the end im sure the dealer was very happy and i was also. Some on here would have sweated blood to knock of a few more notes but at the end of the day i payed a fair pricefor a fair product.... Second hand defender pricing will take a few years to settle imho if the new version takes off in a big way the second hand defender market will plummet for a few years until it will eventually rise again ...but if the replacement is dross i can only see high prices for defenders for years to come!Another spanner in the works will be if LR build in the old defender in say china for the non eu/usa market i have no idea what that will do to pricing! As i said a figure of 19500 i would be happy with but with a margin of 500 extra if once ive seen it i like it......but thats me ..you have to decide your own figure! your not far of new price there if its plus vat and you can do your own thing and have a full warranty even so a little high put a offer in on it you can always walk away just give it a full check over too even though not old some get abused from new good luck
