Is the nut working loose on the drop arm of the steering box? I had that with mine so re-tightened it and added another nut and tightened against the first.

Check the steering shaft universal joints too as these commonly cause play in the steering.

its 2,2 so cant be that old , what year and miles it done ?

Steering box adj should be last thing to consider. All tre's are tight? Drop arm ball joint ok and as above drop arm bolt tight? Plus steering ujs are fitted fight and tight Cheers
