Blower fuse keeps going.
Dear TD5 owners.
Any thoughts on a possible cause of this?

Well, the blowers weren't working and I discovered the fuse had blown. I replaced it (20 amp) turned the key and the blower worked, but when I started the motor to set off later on, the fuse blew again, so I suspect some TD5 foul play somewhere in the electricals.

I can live with out the blower at the moment, but the nights are getting longer and cooler...
Anything obvious to check?

Cheers

Rob

Have you checked the drain on the heater intake system, to make sure it not keeping water in?

Thanks for the heads up on the auxiliary socket.

Andy, I will definitely check on the drain, with someone else pointing me in that direction also. I wouldn't have thought to look there. Will take a look in the morning. Thanks.

Drain for sure. Check down there and see if the motor can spin freely. Most likely it is jammed solid. Common fault.

Hi,

Slightly embarrassed about relisting this thread as time has passed, but I still haven't resolved my blower issue ( too much to do, not enough time etc etc)

I did check my drain plug, and as photo just about shows, there wasn't one anyway! So any further thoughts very welcome. With colder days and misty screens fast approaching , I need to be a bit more proactive now!

Thanks
Rob
