I had to go and check the spanner I used, as I was sure I'd seen 32 stamped on that.... And it has 😩.. But I use it on the large nut which is 36 mm..

Did you get it second hand Andy ? on the right hand side it looks like a grinder has been used to widen it ,removing approx 2mm of material from each side to make it 36mm. Looking more closely it seems like some engineers blue marker has been applied and I can just see the remnants of a marker line that was used as a guide on the right hand side. Perhaps it was a 32mm one for a 200TDI that has been modified to 36mm for a TD5/ Puma.

Else if it’s a double ended one, 32mm and 36mm, and they have stamped the sizes on the wrong ends.
God I need to get out more if staring at spanner’s is my way of enjoying a Saturday afternoon Rolling with laughter

You are spot on ian👍.. It has been modified at some point.. And most probably by me... But I can not remember doing it.. I'm thinking it was for an old mk3 transit with the 2.5 Di engine and then modified for a mk7 transit... And it just happens to fit the 2.2l landrover.. 👍😂..
Talk about getting out more.. It can't be worse than lying under the truck putting the exhaust and props back in..
Hopefully tomorrow will get it finished..
And thanks for taking the time and sorry for the confusion🙃😩😂
