Just a note to all ...

WJN000030 is a perfect replacement for WJN500150.

So £130 instead of £280!!! Shukers parks have them on offer to at the moment if anyone wants one (Genuine obviously at £103 or something IIRC).

Mine was a britpart OEM which was a a shame. Always thought britpart OEM meant it'd be a genuine item but in a britpart box as opposed to britpart aftermarket parts. Alas it wasn't stamped UFI etc, but I guess it's just manufactured to OEM spec unlike their cheaper versions! Seems decent though!

Once you get it though, just check the air bleed valve and the non return valve are all in the right spot!

And make sure you get the fuel lines back on the right way around Embarassed Rolling Eyes ...

TD5 fuel filter housing
Hi there i've just been digging on the net for some information and came across this post.
i have exactly the same issue with my fuel filter housing as in it has crumbled away where it attaches to the chassis.
I am pretty sure the replacement part i need is WJN000020 as that matches with my vin (2003 TD5)
i would just like to ask you how difficult was it to replace ? Im assuming that as soon as i disconnect the fuel pipes from the nipples it will start to pour diesel out ? im just wondering weather this is a job best done by an experienced mechanic or if I can manage to do it ?
Any advice much appreciated,
thanks
Andy

It's a pretty easy job - my housing broke away when I tried to replace the filter so I had to do this a few months back.

When you disconnect the four fuel pipes some fuel will leak out but not a lot. Have a look at the following post, it has some excellent advice to do with the NRV/Bleed Valves being installed into the wrong ports on the newly delivered filter head.
