United Kingdom 2013 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Corris Grey
Melted Fuse
Hello, New to this forum game so be gentle!

Finally taken the plunge and bought a Defender(90 XS) after years of freelanders. I must say i'm loving the experience. Very Happy

I have had one 'incident' with the defender. The heated screen stopped working not long after I bought the car. No indication on the switch that it was working, so checked the fuse in the drivers seat box and found the fuse had been running a bit warm before finally blowing.

Back to the dealer who at first thought it was the screen itself Confused . Now i'm electrically biased in my line of work and if a fuse melted before it blew when a fault occured i would be worried about fuse ratings etc. my suspicion was with the fuse box itself. Sure enough after 3 days, the dealer found the fault to be a poor connection under that fuse in the box.

No fire this time then! Plenty of sparks will fly when I start playing with the electrics Smile
