Defender 90 Puma Alarm/immobiliser
Hi,

I have a 07 plate Defender 90 Puma with a after market alarm/immobiliser fitted with central locking. The problem is i dont have the make model or any codes and only one fob!

So before something happens to it im looking at getting a new one, question is should i get a genuine Landrover alarm fitted or a aftermarket one?

If anyone has added one what have you fitted and are you pleased with it?

I would get an aftermarket one that is Thatcham approved (Cat1). LR only ever got the immobiliser approved so its Cat 2. Even though the alarm now has battery back-up as standard, it hasn't got the Cat 1 rating.

With an aftermarket you can get other toys added such as remote start-up etc
