UCB500150 although some parts suppliers give a very odd and misleading description (child seat bracket )

Thank-you. Yes, that was what I found with that part number. In the end I couldnโt find the actual part anywhere, admittedly I havenโt looked in every nook and cranny on the net but a basic search proved fruitless.
Might have to Ask Dan @ Duckworth parts for info Monday. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Update, Dan managed to track the part down. I'm not sure what exact P/N, likely the same one as above.
The description is however, very confusing. No idea why that might be. Price is around ยฃ10 not too bad, it's rather annoying how someone managed to break it though when it needn't have been. Dan has always been successful finding these things that I haven't and always been upmost reliable. Highly recommended if you are looking for Genuine parts.

Slightly here but the part I mentioned above arrived.
It certainly looks correct, in fact Iโm sure it is. Curiously, looking at the label it still mentions Child seat adaptor or similar. I can only but assume it may be a dual purpose part. So when I get around to it I think Iโll use a liberal coating of White Lithium spray grease on the assemble as the manual suggests.

just put gearbox back in the 130 and selection is harder than it should be, esp to 3rd. in fact it doesn't return to centre in neutral if i tighten the torex screws right down on the gearstick. my 11plate doesn't have these fitted. what are they doing exactly, stopping the diagonal torex from torqueing down too far when they hit the insert? thus reducing the preload on the ball joint? Cheers

I think they just limit the lateral movement of the lever housing, that's all. In theory you need to use a locating device when refitting the lever, although I've never found it necessary.

maybe thats where i am going wrong, locating device when fitting lever in the ball socket or when fitting the housing to the gearbox? Cheers

Housing to box. The tool holds the gear lever in the correct position to align the housing on the box as the bolts are tightened. I usually pinch up the housing, check for gear selection, and adjust and repeat as necessary until everything feels good, and have never had a problem. Screenshot of the WSM below:

Thanks Martin
Just done this and the guide is fab, my only hiccup was figuring out that the hi-low linkage ball joint is a push in to remove!! Looking down the holes it was amazing how much they seemed to be out of line, so I can see why the collar would help. Shifting already better, put loads of lithium grease everywhere too. Thank you blackwolf, but which bolts are you talking about ? those of the aluminum box to the gearbox or the 4 torx screws ? also the adjustment of the gear lever must be done with the assembly of the 2 spacer bushes ? Giacomo |

The screws identified in the diagram in step 45 in the WSM extract.
> the adjustment of the gear lever must be done with the assembly of the 2 spacer bushes ? That's the idea. |

The plastic tool really isn't necessary. |
