Weird one... Engine revs speaker whistle
Today my 110 developed an engine-revs related hiss/whistle through my rear speakers.

The engine revs directly control the note of the whistle!

Interference with wiring from the engine?

The rear speakers were added by me a few months ago and are 6x9s wired directly from the standard rear wiring.

Suggestions? Cheers, David

You've got hi level input from the rear speakers. Try low which is using RCA connections that are shielded.
That's something to try, other than that above is correct.
If that doesn't cure it you have noise interference in the system which you will need a suppressor.
Also are your Amp and HU settings all correct?

I'm assuming you have an Amp? If so if you took your audio signal from the rear speakers to the Amp for 6x9's that's a hi level input.
If you use RCA connections from HU to the Amp instead that is low level.
Low level signals generally is the best option.
Make sense?

No they run direct from the standard rear speaker wiring actually, no amp...

Should I just check for loose connections etc?

Only appeared today... Cheers, David

This is normally an issue on older vehicles. Your 2010 truck should have shielded cables and therefore no alternator whine. Can also be a bad earth.

LED lighting can also have an effect in some cases, rare but worth thinking about if anything is in the close vicinity.
What power consumption are the 6x9's?
Ideally if just running of the rear speaker wires and HU they shouldn't be no more than 50wRMS which most are more than that.
As mentioned above alternator issues are usually with older vehicles.
Is the Alternator producing a steady voltage? That might be worth checking especially with engine running under revs.
