Turbo Hose Replaced
My 2012 2.2 was recently at the dealers for 'routine' warranty work. They OFFERED to replace the turbo hose with a modified arrangement under warranty. This due to pulley abrasion risk. This was done today (3 hour wait in reception). Dealer said that if required turbo hoses will be replaced on 2.2's that pass through the workshop during warranty or service work.

My hoses were also replaced during its 12000 mile service for the same reason. Assume it must be a nationwide alert. Mine is 11 months old so guess it affects quite a few 2.2's

Count yourself lucky you didn’t discover the fault at the roadside! http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic27681....rrey+rover Nick

The 'modified arrangement' I believe is just just a cable tie lifting it up out of the immediate danger zone!

Where the turbo hose passes the belts and pulleys for the Alternator etc ..

See Jim_bean's thread (He's on his 3rd or 4th hose I think now and this time, they cable tied it up to another hose to stop it bouncing onto the pulley/belts) ...

The modified hose has a bracket to hold the pipe in a fixed position. I know as this is my 4th pipe and now it looks like it will last Rolling Eyes

Mine was done as it was rubbing on the steering column. Nice new bracket and hose fitted.
