Well, that colour combination is as good as it gets of course. Congratulations.
I will fall in repetition here, but the first thing to do now that it is still new is to get it fully Dinitrolled. And you have in Schoten a first class Volvo dealer who still knows the skills of Dinitrolling a Defender. I had mine done there after a lot of investigation here in Switzerland where at the time I could not find a good Dinitrol center, and finally asked Land Rover Antwerp for advise, and they came up trumps with Garage Postiaux in Schoten. See details in thread below. First things first in my opinion, Dinitrol, and then the mods. Eric http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic13479....ol+belgium PS - ik ben oorspronkelijk ook van het Antwerpse, dus als je meer details wil, stuur me een PM. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Take lots of pictures of the interior. It will never be that clean again!

I've met a dozen Belgian car enthusiasts in my life. I think you better tell him to take lots of pictures as the car will never look that dirty again! Also, in the past I've read a thread of a Belgian guy that even cleaned, clayed, polished and waxed every single bit underneath his car... |

Thx for the replies...
Believe me, it will sadly never look this clean again. Although I try to maintain my Land Rovers perfectly and clean them as good as I can after each journey. I don't mind the odd scratch or dent, but I hate rust and my car needs to be mechanically perfect before I leave on each trip. But after owning a lovely series 3, and 3 defenders I kinda know how it goes...And they all lived in the Sahara and Iceland for about two months each year. Now I'm going to fit the dual battery system...fun fun fun |
