What is the green used called? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Hello Easydeluxe

Just Beautiful.

Would you do us all a favour?

Please send your photo to Gerry McGovern (Land Rovers design director) and ask him to take a long look
at what is currently on the LR Drawing Board.

Whilst I have read recently the DC100 being described as a 'facelift' and not 'replacement' I have my doubts.

I also read this attributed quote from Mr McGovern, which if true... well judge for your self.

“The current Defender has never sold on its design and has changed very little over the years. What we are working on is something that will be more desirable to look at.” said McGovern ” The traditionalists might not like it but they’ll have to live with it. It will still be as capable as before and there will be references to the old model – it might even have a spare wheel on the back.”

Oh dear...where do you start with this apparent assessment of the Defender’s legacy?...
be afraid, be very afraid.

Well Easydeluxe you have a prime example, maybe as good as it gets!

A lovely classic look

That is exactly how a proper Defender should look. Enjoy it.

Perhaps Mr McGovern and his design team have to keep themselves busy and justify their salaries by changing things and re-inventing the product. The question for me is "What is their brief"?
