Safety Devices L138/7 (RBL1387SSS) cage on a 110 hardtop?
This is the cage that is often seen on NAS 90s in the States and I think the 50th Anniversary 90? Anyway, I want to put one on my 110 HT to get rid of the bulkhead and have some basic roll over protection. Dunno why it wouldn't fit on a 110... but also haven't yet seen one on a 110. Also wondering if it would work with a soft top too? May give SD a call during the week but thought if someone has some experience/pictures that would be great. Thanks.

I can be wrong but I think SD will not sell this cage as a full kit. Yes you would be able to buy it as spare parts using 50th parts numbers but it would set you back a lot of money. Easiest way is probably going through P&P.m

Yes, thanks. Contacted ppcages.com and looks like they can do what I need... They can do a nice setup with the window frame cage, B hoop and bulkhead delete as this SD cage does. Removable crossbar and some other cool options to ponder as well.

Have you spoken to Safety Devices then ??
They wouldn't show it as a product if it wasn't available

This cage was recently fittted to my 90 but not sure how it would fit in a 110 because the internal hoop fixes to the floor behind the front seats - where the old bulkhead use to be

Do you know if they sell the NAS Softop style cages too? I asked SD a while ago to sell me the parts to convert my 50th to Softop but going the spare parts way was the only option. Appologise for not being updated:) m

All I know is that East Coast Rover/USA says on their FAQ page that there is a certain NAS 90 cage not produced anymore... I don't know much about NAS spec either though.

http://www.eastcoastrover.com/FAQ.html

I'm not sure what that one is, I think it is the one on this black NAS 90... looks like a similar windscreen cage to the 138, but I think everything behind it is then different spec and not made anymore.

Safety Devices is of course still making the L138/7, but they only spec it for a 90 and don't seem to have any info about using it on a 110.

What I don't understand is the L138/3 -- only the windscreen cage, no B-hoop inside. I must be missing something b/c it seems like that wouldn't provide very much roll over protection, yet SD spec that for the heavier 110.
