Hello,
I have just set into 1 year of ownership, the weather is getting hotter over here and I recently noticed that the first fan speed isn't as strong as it used to be when the AC is on and not cooling as I was used to having(not blowing as strong as I used to experience it). Recently I am using second fan speed, in all situations its blowing cold but the force of air is not as strong. Is it the A/C filter, I assume that because on a similar situation my G55 AMG the first fan speed and second didn't feel much different and the dealership all they did is replace the ac filter and it solved that issue (probably clogged/dust) given my location. My defender blows cold air but the force of power is not as I am used to. The car has gas for the AC in it as its only 1 year old and I don't think I need to fill it up Thoughts ? 2016 Defender 90 Adventure Edition |

The car blows cold air but the power is not like before, the weather has changed recently towards 36 C but the a/c doesn't feel as strong as it is before.
I feel that the sound is different, my car is LHD and I listen to the blower under the right side dash sounds a bit different. 2016 Defender 90 Adventure Edition |

If this happens with or without A/C on then I would look at the heater air inlet duct. Could it be partially blocked. There is no heater circuit filter, but there are 2 water drains on the underside of the engine compartment ducts. The Defender A/C and heater system is not very sophisticated. LANDYWATCH

Those stuff occurred after I installed the snorkel raised air intake, actually it was fine till I took it to the service centre and got it back where is the heater air inlet duct located ? My car is a LHD, under the passenger side there is like a rectangle opening for A/C or heater perhaps, that sounds different when the fan is set to 1>2>3 on fan speed. 2016 Defender 90 Adventure Edition |

Just a guess ...
Have you set the fan on taking air from the outside or recycling the inside air? Makes a big difference in cooling and noise factor. I live in the sub tropics here and I always have the fan set for recycling inside air. Makes for more noise but at least I get some cool air. Could be that the blokes in the garage moved the lever, or that that lever is not completely engaged? Otherwise the outside air intake for the fan is on top of the passenger wing. If you open the hood you can see the tubing running to the actual fan unit. |

Booked an appointment for a checkup, however I took the car to a friend mechanic and told its cool but the blowing power is reduced.
I think it may have sucked some of the paper floor things they give back when you take your car out of service. 2016 Defender 90 Adventure Edition |
