The rivets have more strength as the screws and they are aluminium. So there will be no contact corrosion to your window frame.

Use the rivnut. No need to buy a special tool, you can use a diy tool:

Rivnuts are available in aluminium, steel or stainless. Aluminium is good in contact corrosion, steel or stainless not. The next thing is that the weakening of the frame is higher, 4.8mm rivet is a 5mm hole. M6 rivnut is an 11mm hole. The frame is cast and not very meaty. WANTED:

I'd stick with the rivets your motor your choice

Don't drill it at all would be my advice. Sikaflex it....I have. Old.... Click image to enlarge New... Click image to enlarge No holes = No issues later.
