Where to fit a cd changer
Hello all,
I fitted my kenwood six disc auto changer above the n/s/r wheel in the rear of my 90 when I first got the car, however it keeps jumping tracks.
The changer is about 12 years old and has never given any trouble it`s been in everything from a Austin maestro van to a Vectra where it spent the last 9 years up side down in the boot.

Is there a good place out of sight and mind to fit it so unwanted vibration can be kept to a minimum or are there some kind of rubber mounting bushes I could mount it on.
I don`t really want to replace it as my parrot kit does all the usb and sd card stuff, and its head unit still plays tapes. I don`t want to part with these, as like most of us we had a lot of happy times with an old c 60 in a car stereo.
Any advice would be welcome

My factory fit CD player skips mostly on the early tracks of a disc for some reason !

Logic would dictate that the centre of the vehicle would be the area of least pitch and yaw so as near centre as is practicle. 2005 Td5 90 XS

I'm happy to send you a CD sized piece of 1/4" Dynaliner (adhesive-backed sound deadener) to help absorb the vibration but I've no idea where you could put the machine itself. 2003 Td5 110 Hardtop
Now a 2013 110 USW too.

Thanks to all for advice, looks like I may experiment with some rubber bobbins as suggested I`ve go lots of these from changing cat walks on trucks.

It may also find its way into the cubby box as it`s almost the centre of the car.
If all else fails my lad is in the process of buying an alfa romeo mito, which comes with all the whistles and bells so there may be a new car stereo with all the blue tooth usb fancy bits going cheap.

Maybe between the pair of us we could have a competition. Which one will go wrong first looks like the other halfs peuegot maybe the best of the bunch...
